The Ministry of Education and Training designated January 29, 2024, as “BACK TO SCHOOL DAY” with the goal of keeping a child in school, promoting education, and giving back to those in need. In the spirit of cooperation and in line with our commitment to corporate social responsibility and our efforts to support sustainable development goals, particularly the Quality Education goal, Lesotho PostBank contributed uniforms to the tune of M60, 000.00 to selected vulnerable students of Leqele High School. Furthermore, we joyously marked this occasion by actively engaging with the students in their daily activities, which included attending classes, participating in recreational activities, and sharing lunch with them.

In her comments, Mrs. ‘Mamohau Mapota, Chief Digital Banking Officer, underscored Lesotho PostBank’s dedication to contributing to the communities in which it operates. She expressed gratitude for the support received from various sectors of the Basotho community, emphasizing that as the sole state-owned Basotho Bank, the institution values this support and is committed to reciprocating through Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

The Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Molefi Khama, acting in the capacity of Managing Director, conveyed that the Bank’s focus on empowering students is driven by the recognition that they represent the future leadership of the institution.

The event was graced by the presence of the School’s Management, Lesotho PostBank Management, and Honourable Mokhethi Shelile, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Business Development, and Tourism.
