Electronic Transfers

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

You can be able to transfer money from Lesotho PostBank to another local Bank or vise versa. The transfer reflects in an account on the next business day at most and the transfer amount has to be less than M100, 000. (T & C’s apply)

  • Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS)

This mode of transfer enables you to make local transfers that reflect the same day in an account. The transfers have to be at least M100, 000. (T & C’s apply)

  • SADC Integrated Regional Settlement System (SIRESS)

You can be able to send money to Banks within the SADC region and also recieve it in your Lesotho PostBank account. With this mode of transfer, you can be able to send or recieve any amount of money. (T & C’s apply)

  • Stop Order Payments

You can arrange for stop order payments at Lesotho PostBank. You just instruct the bank to pay a set amount at regular intervals to another’s account.

The Lesotho PostBank (LPB) Internet Banking or Online Banking enables account holders to conduct a range of financial transactions through the LPB website.

Account holders conveniently perform a range of banking, as well non banking transactions banking and non-bank transactions on a device that is connected to the internet, in real time anytime, anywhere.

How To Register

Individual Internet Banking
1.
  • Use the Chrome app on your phone or computer
  • Enter the Internet Banking URL (https://online.lpb.co.ls/mfmbs/ib/)
  • Select Register
  • Enter customer ID (first 8 digits of the account number)
  • Enter identification that was used when opening the account (for business account, enter traders license number)
  • Enter registered mobile number
  • Click submit
  • Password will be received via SMS
2.
  • Select log in
  • Enter user ID (first 8 digits of account number)
  • Enter password and submit
  • OTP will be sent via SMS
  • Enter OTP
  • Enter current password (the one received for IB)
  • Enter new password (it should be between 6 to 10 characters, being letters or digits. No special characters to be used except @)
  • Confirm password and submit
  • View account information on dashboard
  • Access statements (mini statements and full statements)

Banking

The Lesotho PostBank Mobile Banking offers the bank's account holders a convenient way of performing transactions cheaply, anytime using either their smartphones or other mobile devices.

This self-service channel allows one to perform a range of banking as well non banking transactions while away from the branch or computer.

The Lesotho PostBank Mobile Banking is available on *120*223# or can be downloaded from Google Play Store and App store depending on phone compatibility.

  • Click on New User
  • Enter First Name
  • Enter Last Name
  • Enter 8 digits Mobile Number
  • Enter Physical Address
  • Enter Nationality
  • Click on Submit
  • Enter OTP
  • Click on Submit
  • Answer the Security Questions

  • Click on Submit
  • You will have successfully registered
  • Set up your M-PIN (PIN that allows you to log in to the application)
  • Confirm M-PIN (re-enter M-PIN)
  • Click Submit
  • You will have successfully set up M-PIN
  • Set up your T-PIN (PIN that allows you to authorize everything when logged in to the application)
  • Confirm T-PIN (re-enter T-PIN)
  • You will have successfully set up T-PIN

Registration On App (Debit Card Route)
  • Download and install the LPB app
  • Click “register for LPB”
  • Select route to register with (using debit card)
  • Fill in your customer ID or CIF (the first 8 digits of your account number)
  • Enter your debit card number (the long number on the front of your debit card)
  • Enter the mobile number registered with the bank
  • Enter your debit card PIN and debit card expiry date (starting with the year, then the month-YYMM
  • Click submit
  • An OPT will automatically be entered on your phone, click submit again
  • Answer the security questions accordingly
  • Click submit

Mobile Banking

Registration On App (Customer ID Route)
  • Download and install the LPB app
  • Click “register for LPB”
  • Select route to register with (using customer ID)
  • Fill your customer ID or CIF (the first 8 digits of your account number)
  • Enter your nationality ID or passport number
  • Enter the mobile number registered with the bank
  • Click submit
  • Answer the security questions accordingly
  • Click submit
  • You will get a pop-up message that your registration will be confirmed within 24 hours

While both platforms use the internet, the mobile banking app is downloaded from Play Store or App Store and can only be used on a smartphone while internet banking can be used on both a smartphone and a computer by selecting the internet banking option on the Lesotho PostBank Home page.

No. You can register for and use Khetsi even if you do not have an LPB account as long as you have a registered mobile number.

There are no extra monthly charges for using digital channels, however, there are fees per transaction for some of the digital channel services such as funds transfers. These transaction fees are listed on Lesotho PostBank website under Pricing.

You  can  go to any Lesotho PostBank branch and ask to be allowed to use the app for mobile banking and/or Khetsi on your new phone or you can call the customer toll free number: 80099920 and the next available consultant will assist you.

Login on the mobile banking app then click on Account Dashboard. After logging in, select option 3. Banking services, then select option 2. Account Summary, next select the account type option and lastly select the account number and after that the balance will pop-up on screen.
