Lesotho PostBank’s Commitment to Reducing Inequalities: Empowering the Physically Disabled
At Lesotho PostBank, our commitment to corporate social responsibility extends far beyond the world of banking. We believe in making a meaningful impact in the lives of our fellow Basotho citizens. One of the key pillars of our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) plan is to reduce inequalities within our community. In line with this, we are proud to share our recent collaboration with the Lesotho National Association of the Physically Disabled (LNAPD) in support of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of reducing inequalities.
Recently, Lesotho PostBank took a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and improving the quality of life for physically disabled individuals in Lesotho. We sponsored the donation of self-propelled wheelchairs and underarm crutches to the Lesotho National Association of the Physically Disabled (LNAPD).
LNAPD is a human rights-based organization that passionately advocates for the rights and well-being of people with physical disabilities in Lesotho. Their tireless work revolves around advocacy, lobbying, awareness-raising, and intervention in disability-related issues. LNAPD plays a crucial role in ensuring that the voices of the physically disabled are heard, their needs are addressed, and their rights are protected.
Our collaboration with LNAPD aligns perfectly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10: “Reduced Inequalities.” This SDG aims to reduce inequalities within and among countries, including those related to disability. By providing underarm crutches and wheelchairs, Lesotho PostBank contributed to breaking down barriers and promoting equal access to opportunities for physically disabled individuals.
