Lesotho PostBank proudly sponsored and participated in the 4th Annual Katse Dam Tourism-Cultural Festival, held on 7–8 March 2025 at the Katse Old Information Centre grounds. In alignment with the National Strategic Development Plan II (NSDP II) tourism initiatives, LPB contributed funds toward branded traditional blankets (mathokoa) used as prizes for cultural performances and bull-riding competitions. Additionally, a stall fee of M5,000.00 was covered as part of the sponsorship agreement, securing the Bank a platform to engage directly with the community and promote its financial products and services.
The festival featured a rich display of Basotho heritage, including traditional games and performances such as mokhibo, mohobelo, and ho palama likhomo, creating a vibrant atmosphere for cultural exchange and celebration. This year’s event also commemorated the bicentenary of the Basotho nation’s founding by Moshoeshoe, reinforcing national identity while boosting local tourism. LPB’s involvement reflected its commitment to supporting rural development, preserving cultural traditions, and contributing to economic growth through tourism promotion.
